ÖKO User Manual

The ÖKO 1000mL Filter Bottle is your go-to solution for safe, on-the-go hydration. This manual walks you through everything you need to know to get started, use the bottle effectively, and maintain long-term performance.

1 × ÖKO Advanced Filter
1 × Leak-Proof Cap
1 × Carabiner Clip

Getting Started

Before using your bottle for the first time:

1. Rinse the Filter
  1. Fill the bottle with  the cleanest water available.
  2. Screw the cap on tightly.
  3. Squeeze the bottle to rinse the filter and flush out any loose carbon particles.
    Note: A slight dark tint in the water during first use is normal and safe—it’s harmless carbon residue.
2. Fill and Drink
  1. Fill the bottle with tap water, river water, or well water.
  2. Squeeze the bottle with both hands to begin filtration, then release to allow air to enter into the bottle.
  3. Water is filtered in real time as you drink.


Daily Use & Care

  1. Bottle: Hand wash with mild soap and warm water.  DO NOT place in dishwasher.
  2. Cap & Spout: Use a soft brush to clean around drinking areas.
  3. Filter: DO NOT wash with soap or detergent.
If flow slows down, rinse the outside of the filter with clean water to remove fine particle buildup on the surface of the filter.
NEVER boil, freeze, or microwave the filter.

Filter Replacement Guide

When to replace the filter:
  1. After filtering approximately 380 liters (100 gallons)
  2. When water flow becomes noticeably slow, indicating clogging
  3. If using water with high sediment, replace sooner for best results
ÖKO Level-2 replacement filters are available on our website. Always use authentic ÖKO filters to maintain filtration quality.

Mode Switching

Filtration Mode

  1. Use with the ÖKO filter installed
  2. Ideal for natural or questionable water sources
  3. Removes viruses, bacteria, and chemical contaminants

Infusion Mode

  1. Remove the filter from the bottle cap by unscrewing counter-clockwise
  2. Add fruits, herbs, or iced tea to create refreshing infused drinks
  3. Do not use the filter with juice or pulp-rich liquids

Caution

  1. Do not use with seawater or chemically contaminated water.
  2. Not intended for filtering boiling or hot water.
  3. Store the bottle and filter in a dry, cool place when not in use. 
  4. Make sure the filter is completely dry before storing to avoid mildew or better yet, store the bottle open.
