AQUA Coldstream Filter Replacement Schedule

All AQUA Coldstream gravity-fed filters use the NSF-tested Coldstream FTO+ filters. 

The Coldstream FTO+ filters are designed to provide optimal filtration for an extended period.

  1. Recommended lifespan: 1,500 liters per filter.
  2. Total capacity with 2 filters: 3,000 liters, or about 1 year of use based on 8L/day.
  3. Total capacity with 4 filters (for the 9L and 12L): 6,000 liters, or about 2 years of use based on 8L/day.
It is worth noting that the Coldstream FTO+ have been tested up to 3,000 liters, per the requirement of NSF certification.

The capacities indicated above are provided as a guideline. The actual lifespan of the filters may vary depending on the quality of the water used, the type and concentration of contaminants present, as well as the frequency of use of the system. Proper periodic maintenance of the filters and reservoirs is also important to maintain good filtration performance, proper water flow, and a fresh, pleasant taste.
