ÖKO Replacement Schedule

ÖKO Replacement Schedule

To ensure your ÖKO Bottle continues to deliver pure, great-tasting water, it's important to follow the recommended replacement schedule for your filter. Whether you're using the Level-2 Filter for daily hydration or the Level-3 Filter for rugged outdoor use, this guide will help you know exactly when and why to replace your filter.

ÖKO Level-2 Filter

The ÖKO Level-2 Filter is engineered with NASA-developed electro-adsorbent nano-filtration technology to remove viruses, bacteria, heavy metals, chlorine, and other chemical contaminants. Designed for daily use, it offers reliable protection in cities, offices, schools, and during travel.

Replacement Timeline:

  1. Replace every 3–4 months under average use
  2. Or after 380 liters (100 gallons) of filtered water

Signs It's Time to Replace:

  1. Noticeably slower water flow
  2. You’ve used the filter in high-sediment environments (e.g., murky river water)
  3. Filter has reached its 3–4 month usage window, even if flow seems normal

ÖKO Level-3 Filter

The ÖKO Level-3 Filter features a 0.1-micron hollow fiber membrane, providing high-level protection by removing up to 99.999% of bacteria and 99.9% of protozoa and parasites. Ideal for hiking, survival situations, global travel, and emergency kits.

Replacement Timeline:

  1. Replace after 1,000 liters of use
  2. With proper rinsing and care, it can last up to 3,000 liters

Signs It's Time to Replace:

  1. Water flow becomes significantly reduced
  2. The filter has been stored wet or not rinsed after use
  3. You’ve reached the maximum filtration limit
